VTP pulls its 220-acre rezoning before the Board votes
Off the agenda, but it’s not over yet.
Rezoning application REZ #04-26, filed by Equus / Executive Land Holdings IV for roughly 220 acres in Clear Brook, was withdrawn, according to Frederick County. No stated reason was given.
Withdrawal is not a denial. The land remains in the applicant’s hands which means the request can be refiled. Nothing binds the county or the applicant going forward or prevents them from reapplying.
- 1
- Planning Commission recommends denial, 10-0.
- 2
- Application withdrawn.
The September 23 grandfathering resolution named VTP. Does it have any continuing effect on a withdrawn application? Would it apply to a refiled one?
The TM District amendment is waiting on a vote that will not happen
The Technology-Manufacturing (TM) district is the one district where the old ordinance lists data centers as a use permitted by right. On September 23, the Board tabled the amendment removing that district until after the VTP vote. There is no VTP vote.
When does the TM amendment return to the agenda?
Raise it during public comment Wednesday. One sentence is enough: ask the Board to set a date.
The two hearings that remain Wednesday: Winchester Gateway CUP #03-26 and Gibson REZ #08-26.
